KUPANG - The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTT) reported that the investigation file for the case of RB (31), the perpetrator of the murder of a one-year-old mother and baby in Kupang City has been completed.

"I convey that the case file for suspect RB has been completed," said Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Rishian Krisna B, to reporters in Kupang, reported by Antara, Wednesday, December 29.

A mother named Astri Manafe (30) and her son Lael Maccabe (1) were found at the SPAM construction project site in Penkase Oeleta Village, Alak District by SPAM workers who were digging holes.

From the results of the investigation, it was found that the suspect RB allegedly intended to end the illicit relationship with the victim, thus committing the murder.

The former Head of the South Central Timor (TTS) Police added that investigators sent the case files to the NTT High Prosecutor's Office last Tuesday, December 28, with number B/2321/XII/2021/Ditreskrimum.

"Yesterday, the Ditreskrimum of the NTT Police sent the case file to the NTT Prosecutor's Office for further examination," said Krisna. Previously, in the release of the development of the murder case, the police stated that based on the reconstruction of the case of the murder of a mother and baby who was found dead in the SPAM project, it is known that the killer of the one year old baby is his biological mother who is also a murder victim.

"From the results of the reconstruction carried out for two days, it is known that the one-year-old victim Lael was killed by his biological mother named Astri who is also a victim in this case," he said.

However, Krisna added that the murder case was based on the results of the reconstruction carried out in 13 locations with 39 scenes, it is known that the murder of Astri and Lael occurred on August 28, 2021, and the two victims were buried on August 31, 2021 by the suspect RB as the perpetrator of the murder.

During the span of four days, the bodies of Astri and Lael were left in the vehicle rented by the suspect while he was trying to find crackle paper to put the bodies of Astri and Lael in.

After being buried at the SPAM project site on August 31, RB then returned to his house and met his legal wife. But instead he was scolded, because he had not returned to his house for several days without news.

After about a month had passed, the bodies of the mother and baby were found by SPAM project workers wrapped in plastic and partially damaged at the end of last October.
