Killer Of One Family In Sukoharjo Arrested, Victim's Car Sold
SUKOHARJO - The police arrested the perpetrator of the murder of Suranto (42) and his family in Dukuh Slemben, Sukoharjo, Central Java. The murder was suspected because the perpetrator was in debt.
"The perpetrator of the murder case against the victim and his family with the initials HT (41) is a resident of Perampelan Hamlet, Waru Village, Baki District, Sukoharjo," said Sukoharjo Police Chief AKBP Bambang Yugo Pamungkas at Baki Police Headquarters, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 22.
According to Yugo, the perpetrator was a close friend of the victim Suranto, who worked as a rental car driver. The perpetrators killed a family of Suranto in the early hours of Wednesday, August 19. He killed the victim's wife, Sri Handayani and her two children, Rafael Refalino Ilham (10) and Dinar Alvian Hafidz (5).
Based on the investigation, the motive for the murder case was because the perpetrator had quite a lot of debt. The perpetrator has the desire to control what the victim has.
"We are still investigating because the perpetrator is in debt, and we have examined six witnesses. The perpetrator committed the murder with a kitchen knife," said AKBP Yugo.
The police also found evidence including a kitchen knife, BPKB, STNK, a white Toyota Avanza car key with police number AD 9125 XT belonging to the victim. The victim's car was sold by the perpetrator for around Rp. 80 million.
HT was arrested at around 04.00 WIB. Now the perpetrator is being held at the Sukoharjo Police Headquarters.
The perpetrator of the murder of one family is charged under Article 365 in conjunction with Article 338 and Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning the crime of theft, or deliberately taking the life of another person, and premeditated murder.
