Active Cases Of COVID-19 In Bantul Decreased, 5 People Left

BANTUL - Active cases of COVID-19 or patients who are still infected and undergoing isolation in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, continued to decline until Tuesday, only five people remained, following more confirmed patients who recovered than new cases.

Based on data from the Bantul COVID-19 Task Force, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 28, there were zero confirmed cases, or no additional cases, while four confirmed cases recovered, while zero confirmed cases died.

With the development of daily cases, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Bantul is cumulatively 57,413 people, with a recovery rate of 55,839 people, while the number of deaths due to the Corona virus is 1,569 people.

Thus, the number of active COVID-19 cases or patients who are still infected and undergoing isolation or quarantine in shelters and hospitals in the Bantul region as of Tuesday, December 28, remains at five.

The isolation cases based on domicile were spread over three sub-districts, namely Bantul, three people, then Bambanglipuro one person, and Jetis also one person.

Meanwhile, Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih, appealed to the people in this district to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols and being aware of the transmission of COVID-19, especially the Omicron variant.

"We are still in the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government is still expecting and urging the entire community to continue to carry out the prokes and be aware of the possible spread of the Omicron variant," he said.

In addition, the district government also invites the community to jointly stop the spread of COVID-19 by implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS), and 5M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.
