Suddenly Disappearing, Children In Makassar, East Jakarta Kidnapped And Made Into Prostitutes In Kalibata Regional Apartments

JAKARTA - An underage girl in Makasar District, East Jakarta, with the initials EN (13) became a victim of criminal acts of trafficking in persons and online prostitution.

EN's uncle, Hendra (32), said that the family found out about this after the victim left the house without saying goodbye since Tuesday, December 21.

"I was looking around the neighborhood and nothing was there. It's only been a day. Finally I went to a friend's house, he said he went with a man. Then I asked the man's house," Hendra said in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, December 28.

Hendra then went to the house of a man with the initials RB to inquire about EN's whereabouts. However, RB's parents did not know the whereabouts of the person concerned because he was not at home.

Hendra said the next day he received information from his neighbor that EN's photo was posted on the MiChat application as a commercial sex worker.

"I was provoked to use a voice note, it turned out to be him. I was thinking how I found him. I thought I'd report to the police first so that they would be raided," said Hendra.

Hendra later learned that his nephew's location was in an apartment in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta. He then made a report to the Makassar Police on Friday, December 24.

Together with the Makasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Hendra then went to the apartment to coordinate with the apartment security officers to ensure the presence of EN. Until Saturday, December 25, EN was confirmed to be in an apartment unit rented by RB.

The raid was carried out at around 10.10 WIB by three personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Police, led by Iptu Mochamad Zen and three apartment security officers.

"After that, the Makasar Police were immediately directed to the East Jakarta Police for a report. But because the location of the incident was in South Jakarta, the case was transferred to the South Jakarta Police," said Hendra.

Furthermore, he said that at this time EN had returned to his family although he was still experiencing trauma. EN has also undergone a post-mortem process for investigation purposes to prove the case.

"My family's wish is that I personally want the perpetrators to be severely punished because my nephew is also a minor," said Hendra.
