Men Suspected Of Sexual Harassment 12 Boys Trapped With Fake Girls' Social Media Accounts In Tarakan Allegedly Positive For HIV

TARAKAN - The suspect in the sexual harassment case against 12 boys in Tarakan with the initials E (25) is currently suspected of being infected with HIV/AIDS.

"Currently, suspect E is still undergoing examination at the Tarakan City Health Office, possibly being HIV positive," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tarakan Police, Iptu Muhammad Aldi, in Tarakan, North Kalimantan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 28.

If the suspect is HIV-AIDS positive, then the next step is to carry out health checks on the victims.

In addition, the suspect will also undergo an examination from a psychologist regarding his mental condition.

"Currently, only two victims have reported incidents of sexual abuse with threats, while the other victims have not," said Aldi.

Suspect E was arrested by the Tarakan Police Satreskrim on Saturday, December 25, in the Juata area, Tarakan. Everyday the suspect works as an employee at a company in Tarakan.

Perpetrators ensnared victims with fake accounts using photos of women on social media. The boy victims are on average 15 to 16 years old and still have a junior high school education.

The suspect then asked for a photo of the victim showing his vitals. Then he invited the victim to have a meeting and was threatened with distributing the victim's photo if he didn't follow his will.
