JAKARTA - The Navy Main Base (Lantamal) IV Tanjungpinang found an object resembling a tank (combat vehicle) in Natuna waters, Riau Islands on Saturday, December 18.
Through the official Instagram account, the Indonesian Navy today uploaded a photo of an object similar to the tank at close range.
The object was also pulled by the Navy using fishing wooden pompong to the postmat Kijang. Until now, the Navy's investigation is still being carried out, in this case the Pushidrosal, Dissenlekal and Dislitbangal teams.
Meanwhile, according to his statement on December 18, the Navy Main Base (Lantamal) IV Tanjungpinang stated that the discovery of objects resembling tanks (combat vehicles) by oil and gas workers in Natuna waters, Riau Islands, was not dangerous.
"Yes, it's true that something like a tank has been found, but it's not dangerous," said Marine Major Saul Jamlaay, head of the Lantamal IV Information Service, last Saturday, December 18, as quoted by Antara.
According to him, the object belongs to the oil and gas company Star Energy from a snapper block rig that is drilling in the Natuna Sea.
