Don't Worry About Airlangga's Survey Results, Golkar: Not Yet Objective

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party does not bother with the survey results, both electability and simulation of pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the Politics Research & Consulting and Indonesian Political Parameter survey.

In the survey, the electability of Golkar General Chair Airlangga Hartarto was only 0.8 percent in a simulation of 15 presidential candidates. Meanwhile, in the simulation of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, when Airlangga was paired with PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, he only got 3.8 percent electability. Meanwhile, if Airlangga is simulated with the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, he gets 26.9 percent.

"This does not reflect the objective reality that we are currently facing," said Golkar Party DPP chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily, Tuesday, December 28.

The issue of candidate pairs, according to Ace, can't be fixed on the figures alone. But also the coalition political parties that carry the candidate pairs later.

"The configuration regarding the presidential pair must also be based on the objective reality of the supporting political parties. So, at this time we have not discussed the coalitions," he explained. Apart from that, Ace emphasized that currently the Golkar Party is only carrying out decisions The National Conference (Munas) which prepared Airlangga Hartarto as a presidential candidate without being influenced by external parties, including the results of the survey.

"We are not very affected by the landscape created by these survey institutions," concluded Ace.
