David Da Silva Has Participated In Training With Persib, Gets A Warm Welcome From All Team Members

JAKARTA - Brazil striker David da Silva underwent his first training with Persib Bandung players at the Wanderlust Fitness Center in Bandung, Monday.

The former Persebaya Surabaya striker received a warm welcome from all team members who had been waiting for him for a long time.

"Thank you for the welcome," David said on the club's official website on Monday, quoted by Antara.

David was only able to join after completing the self-quarantine period in Jakarta and Monday morning having also undergone a medical test.

In the introductory session, the player who will use the number 25 jersey hopes to work well together to win the championship title.

Persib Bandung coach Robert Rene Alberts said he was happy because David Da Silva had joined the fitness training session and was declared in good health after undergoing self-quarantine in Jakarta.

After David da Silva, other players who are still waiting for his presence are Bruno Cunha Cantanhede and Palestinian attacking midfielder, Mohammed Rashid.

"Da Silva has joined us after undergoing medical tests which have shown good results so far. Bruno is also in good condition and will undergo the same test, Rashid as well," he said.

"Then on the 1st (January), we will all go to Bali. So, this will be interesting," said Robert.

When leaving for Bali, Persib was without two players who are currently defending the Indonesian national team, namely Victor Igbonefo and Ezra Walian, because they still have two final matches on December 29, 2021 and January 1, 2022.

Even so, Robert is quite confident with the composition of the current Persib team, especially after two new strikers, David Da Silva and Bruno Cantanhede, joined them.

The Dutch coach is determined to make the Blue Prince's front line appear sharper and produce more goals.

"In the first round, we were the second most productive team and should have got a better result in the last moments, but we weren't strong enough. Now, we changed that and tried to do it again with two new strikers."
