JAKARTA - Kaesang Pangarep's club, Persis Solo, confirmed itself for promotion to Liga 1 next season after defeating Martapura Dewa United with a score of 2-1 in the semifinals of League 2 at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, Monday.
Persis Solo's success in winning this victory was thanks to goals scored by Beto Goncalves and Fabiano Beltrame, while the goal of Martapura Dewa United was created by Slamet Budiono.
This victory means that Persis Solo will challenge the club belonging to celebrity Raffi Ahmad, Rans Cilegon FC in the League 2 final, while Martapura Dewa United will face PSIM Yogyakarta in the fight for third place to fight for the one remaining promotion ticket.
At the beginning of the first half, Martapura Dewa United managed to score a quick goal through Slamet Budiono in the 1st minute after receiving a pass from Bhudiar Muhammad Riza which made the score change to 1-0.
Left behind by one goal, Persis Solo immediately responded by putting pressure on Martapura Dewa United's defense to equalize.
The goal that Persis Solo was looking for finally arrived in the 8th minute when striker Beto Goncalves managed to get past several defenders from Martapura Dewa United before finally breaking into Rivky Mokodompit's goal which made the score back at 1-1.
Persis Solo managed to take the lead in the 27th minute when a free kick from Arapenta Lingka Poerba was headed by Fabiano Beltrame which made the score 2-1.
In the remaining time of the first half, both teams played openly and attacked each other, but neither Martapura Dewa United nor Persis Solo could score an additional goal and made the score 2-1 last until halftime.
In the second half, both teams again applied open play, but Martapura Dewa United was more pressing because they were looking for an equalizing goal.
Martapura Dewa United had a chance when Herman Dzumafo Epandi managed to fire a shot at Persis Solo's goal, but Harlan Suardi was still able to anticipate the kick.
Furthermore, Martapura Dewa United continued to apply pressure to find an equalizer, but there was still no golden opportunity that turned into a goal.
In the remaining time of the second half, Martapura Dewa United was unable to equalize so the score 2-1 for Persis Solo's advantage remained until the long whistle sounded.
