KAI Commuter's Response After Viral Video Of Laptop Bag Theft Inside The Angke Destination Train
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Commuter is coordinating with the Police regarding the theft of a laptop belonging to one of the passengers. KAI will help the victim by checking the station's CCTV.
"If the perpetrator is caught in the station area, KAI Commuter will of course coordinate with the Police so that the perpetrator is processed according to applicable law," said KAI Commuter External Relations Manager Adli Hakim in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday, December 27, as reported by Antara.
PT KAI Commuter regrets the theft of goods belonging to a user of KA 1627 on the Bogor-Angke connection on Sunday, December 26, at around 19.40 WIB. For this incident, KAI Commuter apologizes and is concerned.
He added that after the incident, the victim immediately reported at Pasar Minggu Station, South Jakarta.
Then the officers at Pasar Minggu Station coordinated by contacting officers at Tanjung Barat Station and Lenteng Agung Station, where the perpetrators allegedly got off the train.
"KAI Commuter is currently still helping victims who want to check the station's CCTV," he said.

For users who see suspicious actions or movements from other users, he appealed to the officers to immediately report them.
The theft occurred on the Electric Rail Train (KRL). The thief is suspected of stealing a passenger's laptop.
The video that recorded the moments of the theft was also viral on Instagram social media. In the video circulating, the perpetrator is seen wearing a plaid shirt, black jeans and a hat and mask.
After stealing the laptop, the perpetrator immediately got off in a hurry at Lenteng Agung Station, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
