PKS: KAMI and KITA Are So Unhealthy If They Make the Society Not Sympathetic
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) DPP, Mardani Ali Sera, considers the Save Indonesia Coalition (KAMI) and the Indonesian Coalition (KITA) movement as potentially unhealthy for the democratic system if they make a conflict.
Mardani said that the presence of KAMI and KITA is good to accommodate the aspirations of the community. This is because Indonesia frees anyone to express their opinion.
"KAMI and KITA will be unhealthy if the way they conveyed a message doesn't make the public sympathetic. But instead, antipathy to politics," Mardani told VOI, Friday, August 21.
Mardani said that PKS has the same ideology as KAMI. Namely, criticizing the policies of the Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin government. On the other hand, Mardani also has a good relationship with KITA's declarator, Maman Imanulhaq.
"KAMI and KITA must continue to bring healthy politics, healthy democracy. They should provide optimism for the people," he said.
He invited these two movements to come up with healthy ideas and narratives. They could bring big ideas to build and advance the nation.
"It's not the time for us to split up. It's not the time for us to be divided. It's time for us to unite to build a nation to face the COVID-19 pandemic," said Mardani.
KAMI was declared by Din Syamsuddin along with several figures. Including former TNI Commander Gatot Nurmantyo on August 18. Din Syamsuddin emphasized that KAMI was formed as a moral movement.
After that, a new movement emerged, KITA, which was promoted by Jokowi. The initiators of this movement dismissed KITA from being KAMI's match.
"KITA is engaged in the politics of consciousness which seeks to build a creative and sustainable imagined community of Indonesia," said KITA Coordinator, Maman Imanulhaq.
