OKU South Sumatra Police Strictly Maintain Border Areas, Residents Must Show Vaccine Certificates Before Crossing
BATURAJA - Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Police Resort, South Sumatra, has tightened security in border areas with four regencies/cities, namely South OKU, East OKU, Muaraenim, and Prabumulih City during the 2022 Christmas and New Year holidays.
"In terms of security, we have prepared four command posts at each border location with OKU Regency," said OKU Police Chief AKBP Danu Agus Purnomo in Baturaja, Antara, Monday, December 27.
Hundreds of joint personnel in the 2021 Musi Candle Operation, which was held from Thursday, December 23 to January 2, 2022, were deployed at every security post to provide services to people who are mobile at the end of 2021.
According to the Police Chief, the 2021 Musi Candle Operation will be carried out flexibly, but still prioritize health protocols (prokes). Residents are welcome to travel and come to OKU, but must comply with the prokes.
One of them, he said, is that every newcomer who visits OKU Regency is required to bring a certificate stating that he has been vaccinated. Personnel at the post will check every motorist who crosses the lane to ensure that the process is maintained.
"Our members will put a sticker indicating whether or not they have been vaccinated on every vehicle belonging to a driver that is checked by officers in the field," he said.
In fact, if it is known that newcomers who have visited OKU have not been vaccinated, they will be directed to the nearest puskesmas to be injected with the COVID-19 vaccine.
In addition to the border, he continued, in the 2021 Musi Lilin Operation, his party has prepared four integrated service posts in crowd centers in Citimall and Ramayana Baturaja, as well as being placed at the Goa Putri tourist attraction in Padang Bindu Village, Semidang Aji District.
"The placement of security posts and services is to provide security, comfort, and services to the community in mobility at the end of the year," he said.
