Megawati: Finding Mother Risma Is A Burden To Me

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri, reminded the candidates for regional head to work optimally if elected. Megawati gave an example of success that must be emulated from a number of regional heads from the PDIP, namely the Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini (Risma) and the Regent of Banyuwangi, Azwar Anas.

"If I may say looking for Mrs. Risma, in my opinion it is a burden for me. His extraordinary struggle, dedication, made the city of Surabaya a city that is now also famous in the world. Because of what? Because the heat from the city of Surabaya can be lowered by two degrees, it is no joke, an extraordinary job, ”said Megawati at a party school for the regional head candidate from PDIP, Friday, August 21.

Megawati also mentioned the success of Abdullah Azwar Anas. According to him, Banyuwangi is a successful area as a tourism destination.

"If I can (mention) Pak Azwar Anas again, it is very difficult for me to find a replacement because only Banyuwangi is called a city which is so far now a very extraordinary tourism destination," he continued.

According to him, Risma and Azwar Anas are examples of successful leadership of regional heads. This success, according to Mega, depends on the work style of the regional head to fight together with the people.

"If the leadership wants to be close to the people, fight with the people, have inspiration, be very creative, it will certainly allow the people to see and be loved by the people," said Mega.

Because of that, Megawati wants the prospective regional head candidates who will be elected to strengthen their ideological leadership, namely regarding Pancasila. In addition, Mega wants women's role to fly in the reins of regional leadership.

"I have emphasized what is meant by a capable leadership from the ideological, technocratic, future responsibility and leadership identity that continues to blend with the people. I ask the candidates who are nominated by the PDI-P to keep burning the spirit of being dedicated to the nation and state, to be dedicated without knowing the end, "said Mega.
