COVID-19 Update As Of December 25: 255 New Cases, 4,713 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 208,587 specimens were examined with the result that there were 255 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,261,667 people and active cases are 4,713 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, December 25.

Today's recovered cases increased by 195 cases, bringing the total to 4,112,901 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 6 people and the total was 144,053 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 80 cases and a total of 864,945 cases. Followed by the Riau Islands with 65 new cases with a total of 54,119 cases. West Java has 18 new cases and a total of 708,750 cases. Then, Central Java with 18 new cases and a total of 486,855 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 45 recovered cases. Followed by Southeast Sulawesi with an increase of 31 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 20 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 20 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 61,840,900.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,856 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 156,182,585 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 110,407,287 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 1,280,673. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
