Police Persons Persecuting Two Teenagers In Jatinegara Turns Out To Be Upset With The Victim's Broken Car Window
JAKARTA - The case of abuse by two police officers against two teenagers in the Bidara Cina area, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, has come to light. East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Erwin Kurniawan explained, the results of the investigation of the case began with the vandalism of a police officer's car.
"The motive is not accepted because the car in question (police) was damaged," said the Police Chief when confirmed by VOI, Friday, December 24, evening.
According to the Police Chief, the incident began when one of the police officers wanted to visit his brother in Bidara Cina on November 11, 2021. However, the road to his brother's residence was blocked by a portal.
Then the police car stopped next to the portal. Suddenly, 15 people approached the police car, one of them broke the car's window.
"Don't ask, it's okay, (they) immediately gathered around and immediately broke the glass and they ran," said the police chief.
Until now, investigators are still investigating the dozens of people who gathered and the police car's windshield was broken.
However, the police report also stated that the perpetrator's car had crashed into the gate at the location. After the car window shattered, the two police officers moved locations. However, not long after, they came back.
"The perpetrators came again. Nearby the children were hanging out, they were finally beaten, including AI and AZ (victims)," he said.
Currently, the case is still under investigation by the East Jakarta Metro Police.
