JAKARTA - A fight involving two crew members (ABK) aboard the Maju Jaya Bersama 8 Motorboat in the waters of Tampel Island, Seribu Islands, occurred on Wednesday, December 22.

"While fighting on the boat, the suspect kicked the victim and fell into the sea, causing the victim to die," said Head of the Tanjung Priok Port Police Criminal Investigation Unit Adjunct Commissioner Sang Ngurah Wiratama when confirmed in North Jakarta, Friday, December 25.
Wiratama said the fight started with a dispute between the victim and the suspect on the ship.
Annoyed at being glared at by the suspect, the victim threw the wireless speaker box (bluetooth speaker) but it didn't hit. Do not accept being thrown, the suspect approached the victim and there was an action against each other.
The captain and the other crew members did not have time to intervene, the victim had fallen into the sea.
Seeing this incident, the captain of the ship immediately jumped into the sea and helped the victim until he was successfully lifted onto the ship.
"But the lives of the victims were not saved," he said.
When he was lifted onto the ship, based on the testimony of a number of witnesses, the victim had a lot of water coming out of his mouth and nose. His condition also looked weak and not long after that he was unconscious before being declared dead.
The next day, on Thursday, December 23 at 02.30 WIB, the suspect DP was reported by the ship's captain to the ship's owner when the ship docked at the pier of Muara Angke Harbor, North Jakarta.
An hour and 30 minutes later, the ship's agent also made a police report to the Sunda Kelapa Regional Police so that the suspect underwent an examination at the local police station.
Evidence in the form of a loudspeaker unit used in the fight was also confiscated as evidence.
The suspect is subject to Article 184 paragraph 4 and/or Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code. "The maximum penalty is seven years in prison," said Tama.
