COVID-19 Update As Of December 24: 204 New Cases From Examination Of 259,969 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 259,969 specimens were examined with the result that there were 204 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,261,412 and active cases are 4,659," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, December 24.
Today's recovered cases increased by 182 cases, bringing the total to 4,112,706 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 5 people and the total was 144,047 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 69 cases and a total of 864,865 cases. Followed by the Riau Islands with 31 new cases with a total of 54,054 cases. East Java has 25 new cases and a total of 399,965 cases. Then, West Java with 22 new cases and a total of 708,732 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DI Yogyakarta with an additional 40 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 29 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 25 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 21 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 61,632,313.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,780 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 155,414,524 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 109,955,752 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,280,673. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
