Throughout 2021, Densus 88 Arrest 370 Suspected Terrorists

JAKARTA - The National Police noted that Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested 370 suspected terrorists throughout Indonesia. The prosecution took place from January to December 24, 2021.

"The number of arrests is 370, all (suspects, ed)," said Head of the Operational Assistance Section for the Anti-terror Detachment 88, Kombes Aswin Siregar in his statement, Friday, December 24.

Based on the data, the most cases of acts of terrorism occurred in March, April, and August. Where, every month there are 60 to 70 suspected terrorists.

"In March there were 75 people, then in April there were 70 people and in August 61 people," said Aswin.

Meanwhile, the minimum number of prosecutions occurred in July, September, and October. Because, in those three months, no more than 10 suspected terrorists were taken.

"At least 1 arrest was made in October, 7 in September and only 8 in July," said Aswin.

For information, Densus 88 Anti-terror several days ago took action against 8 suspected terrorists. The prosecution was carried out in Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and Central Java.

For Central Kalimantan, Densus 88 arrested 3 suspected terrorists. They have the initials AZE, RT, and MS.

Then, for South Kalimantan, 2 suspected terrorists were arrested. They have the initials MR and SU who are JAD terrorist networks.

Finally, the prosecution of 3 suspected terrorists in Central Java. They have the initials AP, RR, and NT who are also JAD networks.
