Ahead Of Christmas Mass, West Bangka COVID Task Force Asks Church To Prepare QR Code Care To Protect
BANGKA - The West Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas), Bangka Belitung Islands Province, appealed to church administrators to prepare a QR Code PeduliLindung to make it easier to monitor congregation members who attend Christmas and New Year services at the church.
Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force for West Bangka Regency, M. Putra Kusuma, said that the coordination forum for regional leaders and church congregation leaders had discussed efforts to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission during church worship during Christmas and New Year.
According to him, during the meeting it was agreed that health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 must be carried out in carrying out worship activities and celebrations in churches, including the use of the PeduliLindung application to facilitate tracking of COVID-19 transmission.
"Technically, before entering the church, every congregation will be required to scan (scan the QR Code PeduliLindung) first," he said in Mentok, quoted from Antara, Friday, December 24.
In addition, he explained, church administrators must provide facilities and infrastructure to support the implementation of health protocols and limit congregations participating in church activities to a maximum of 50 percent of the church's capacity.
"Masses can be scheduled alternately, and we will place an internal task force officer to oversee the implementation of the congregation's health protocol," he said.
"Don't forget to always be disciplined at churches and places of worship to apply health protocols. Keep wearing masks, washing hands with soap, and keeping your distance," said Putra.
He asked residents who were sick or in poor health to participate in worship activities and Christmas and New Year celebrations from home.
