Mission 'Erick Thohir For President 2024', Indonesian Volunteer Moeda Aims For Young People's Voices, Seeks Political Party Support
JAKARTA - Indonesian volunteer Moeda expects young figures from across political parties to support SOE Minister Erick Thohir as a presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
"We hope that Erick Thohir can be accepted by stakeholders in political parties, namely sitting together with party officials and youth organizations in political parties to unify the vision of the future," said Moeda's Indonesian Volunteer Coordinator, Bambang Pria Kusuma in a written statement in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, December 24.
The politician from the Gelora Party explained that Indonesia Moeda is a line of volunteers who support Erick Thohir for President 2024.
Indonesia Moeda, he said, was designed to mobilize the aspirations of young people to have similarities in advancing Indonesia with the tagline #Eratransformation to strengthen the condition of the nation that needs to transform in order to meet the era of progress.
Previously, Bambang Pria Kusuma was present at the discussion "Conversing Moeda's Children: Coffee and Young People's Political Taste" in Jakarta yesterday. On that occasion, Bambang expressed his hope that future leaders will be leaders born from the reform era.
"I hope that the next president will be a generation of young people in the 90s, because the 90s generation are starting to understand politics in Indonesia after the New Order," he said.
The Forum "Chat Moeda's Children" which presents young cross-party politicians is also colored by calls for the vision promoted by the Indonesian candidate Moeda to be accommodated in a formal political forum.
A young politician from the Golkar Party, Ahan Syahrul Arifin, stated that this must be done according to the constitution.
Any candidate who wants to enter the arena of the presidential political battle must have a political vehicle. The political vehicle has been regulated by the Constitution, namely political parties, so that candidates from Indonesia Moeda can synergize with political parties," he said.
