Netizens Crowded Questioning Trouble In Gmail, Google Drive, And Google Meet

JAKARTA - Google's email service, Gmail is experiencing global disruption. A number of related complaints were submitted by Twitter users. According to reports, the disruption occurred since 13.00 WIB.

Quoting Tech Crunch, Thursday, August 20, thousands of users, mostly in India and partly in the United States (US), Australia, Japan and Malaysia reported that they could not access Google services, such as Gmail, Google Drive and Google Meet.

In some cases, users have reported that they are unable to sign into their Gmail account. Meanwhile, others said that new emails do not appear in the application. Some even admit to being unable to send email. Some Google Drive users are also unable to upload new files to the cloud.

Monitoring website DownDetector also shows the number of complaints has increased since around 10 a.m., with more than two thousand reports so far. Twitter is also enlivened by user complaints about disruptions on this platform.

"Is Gmail down? Could not attach documents @GoogleIndia," wrote the Twitter account @aviwire.

"Never imagined it would happen with #Gmail and other google cloud services. Good luck to Google SREs," wrote @akshaykrjain while uploading a screenshot stating a disruption in Gmail.

Users from Indonesia also feel this disturbance. "Why can't I attach any file in Gmail? Signal is ok, 15 mbps. Light file, Word 61 kb, but it keeps failing every time I attach. I'm confused," complained @onerefrain.

Outages do appear to have occurred worldwide at this point, although there are still some who say the platform is still functioning properly.

Until now, it is not certain what causes the disorder. However, Google has responded by stating, "Google has conducted an ongoing investigation, and intends to provide an update as soon as possible with more information on the matter."
