Raise Your Voice, James Franco Finally Admits Sleeping With Acting School Students
JAKARTA - Actor James Franco admitted that he had slept with an acting school student. After being silent for a long time, he made this statement.
Talking to Jess Cagle on SiriusXM, James Franco confirmed that he slept with his student. This is his first interview after he was accused of being a sex offender.
“Look, I'll admit I slept with the students. I don't sleep with anyone," said the Spider-Man actor, launching Page Six on Friday, December 24.
"During teaching time, I slept with students and that was wrong," he said.
Franco explained that that wasn't the reason why he started Studio 4 acting school. "There was a time when, well, you know I have a consensual relationship with a student and it shouldn't be like that," he continued.
In addition, he also admitted that he had faced excessive sex addiction until he met his girlfriend, Izabel Pakzad. He revealed that it wasn't a good thing and he wasn't thinking straight.
In 2019, two Studio 4 students, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, and three others sued James Franco in Los Angeles Court because the actor pressured female students to get naked during auditions in the name of film roles.
Studio 4 is an acting class that Franco co-founded with Vince Jolivette. The school also brings together great people in the film industry to teach and has two branches in Los Angeles and New York.
At that time, lawyers and Franco denied all charges and settled the case by paying 2.235 million US dollars last June. Studio 4 also closed permanently in 2017.
