Tree Falls Due To Heavy Rain In Jakarta, Overwrites 4 Vehicles
JAKARTA - Three trees fell during heavy rains in several areas in the capital city this afternoon. One of the fallen trees hit four vehicles on Jalan KS Tubun, Slipi, West Jakarta.
"The incident of a fallen tree on Jalan KS Tubun resulted in the suggestion that 2 cars and 2 motorbikes were affected at 14.00 WIB," said Head of the Disaster Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) M. Insaf in his statement, Thursday, December 23.
Then, a fallen tree also occurred on Jalan Panjang Arterial Kelapa Dua Raya, and on Jalan Panjang, Kedoya Village, West Jakarta. However, these two fallen trees had no impact on the surrounding facilities.
"There were no victims in the fallen tree incident in three locations. Currently the situation is in the process of being handled by the Gulkarmat Service, Forestry Service, BPBD, PPSU, Binmas, and Satpol PP," explained Insaf. DKI BPBD also noted that one road section was flooded due to rain. heavy rain that flooded the capital city. The data was collected up to 14.00 WIB.
Head of Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) DKI Jakarta BPBD Muhammad Insaf said the inundated road section was on Jalan Patra, Duri Kepa Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
"With a height of 40 centimeters with 1 road segment. The reason is high rainfall," said Insaf.
Insaf said that the inundation condition was being handled by the Local Kelurahan with PPSU, BPBD TRC Team, DSDA, Satpol PP, Tagana and Disgulkarmat, and was targeted to subside in a short time.
