Mahfud MD Reports Progress On BLBI Case: Million Meters Of Land Confiscated, Texmaco Assets Snatched

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD reports the latest developments in handling the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) case.

It was stated that in the first stage of summoning obligors and debtors, the BLBI Task Force managed to record Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of Rp. 313.94 billion or rounded up to Rp. 314 billion.

"Meanwhile, in the form of physical control, both ex-BLBI property assets and the delivery of collateral from obligors and debtors controlled by the state are 8.32 million square meters," he said at a press conference today, Thursday, December 23.

According to Mahfud, in order to support the government's task, the Task Force has succeeded in determining the status of use and grants of ex-BLBI assets to eight ministries/agencies with a total area of 443,970 square meters with an estimated value of Rp1.49 trillion.

Then, the Task Force has also carried out the second phase of collection of eight obligors with the development that the state has obtained collateral assets from one of the parties with the initials SS located in West Jakarta and Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara with a total area of 100,848 square meters.

"Well, today until 10:00 WIB, the BLBI Task Force has again attempted to confiscate assets from the Texmaco Group on 587 plots of land located in five locations, namely in Subang Regency, Sukabumi Regency, Pekalongan City, Batu City, and Padang City with a total area of a total of 4.79 million square meters," he said.

In detail, here are the five Texmaco Group assets.

1. Kadawung Village (Cipeundeuy District), Siluman Village (Pabuaran District), and Karangmukti Village (Cipeundeuy District), Subang Regency, West Java with a total of 519 plots of land covering an area of 3.33 million square meters.

2. Loji Village, Pelabuhan Ratu District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java with 54 plots of land covering an area of 1.24 million square meters.

3. Kelurahan Bendan, Sapuro, and Krapyak Kidul, Districts of West Pekalongan and East Pekalongan, Pekalongan City, Central Java with 3 plots of land covering an area of 2,956 square meters.

4. Pesanggrahan Village, Batu District, Batu City, East Java with a total of 10 plots of land covering an area of 83,230 square meters.

5. Lubuk Kilangan Village, Padang City, West Sumatra with 1 plot of land with an area of 125,360 square meters.

"The task force will continue to make ongoing efforts to ensure the return of state collection rights through a series of measures such as blocking, confiscation, and selling debtor/obligor assets that have been enjoying BLBI funds," concluded Mahfud MD.
