"In the early minutes we struggled a little. My goal came at the right time to inject confidence," said Gnabry.
Bayern did not start the match well and needed the expertise of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to dispel Memphis Depay's chances.
Then Lyon almost opened the scoring if Karl Toko Ekambi's shot didn't hit the post.
Shortly after that Gnabry opened Lyon's lead which was followed by his second goal shortly after. The victory of Bayern Munich was completed by Robert Lewandowski two minutes before the end of normal time.

"We were a little lucky at the start, Manu made a good save and then they hit the post," said Gnabry.
"Fortunately we were able to lead two blanks before the break and Lewandowski finished the job. Now we want to win this competition," concluded the former Arsenal academy player.
The final will be Bayern's 13th appearance on the highest stage in Europe and they have a chance to match defending champion Liverpool's score of seven.
