Anies Gives Political Party Aid Funds Of IDR 27 Billion, PDIP Gets The Most

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan distributes financial assistance to political parties (political parties) for the 2021 fiscal year. The allocation of political party funds from the 2021 APBD reaches IDR 27 billion or IDR 27,255,145,000.

The amount of aid funds for each party in the legislature is calculated from Rp. 5,000 times the number of votes obtained by the political parties in the legislative elections.

In DKI, PDIP received the most political party funds, which was around Rp. 6.6 billion. Followed by Gerindra which received Rp4.6 billion in funds, PKS Rp4.5 billion, PSI Rp2 billion, Democrats Rp1.9 billion, PAN Rp1.8 billion, Nasdem Rp1.5 billion, PKB Rp1.5 billion, Golkar Rp1.5 billion , and PPP Rp.884 million.

In his remarks on the handing over of political party funds, Anies said that this assistance came from Jakarta residents who were mandated for political parties in DKI Jakarta.

"We hope that this will serve as a provision not only for the value of the rupiah but also as a sign of direct distribution from the people of Jakarta to political parties in Jakarta. So that political parties in Jakarta can carry out their duties better," said Anies at DKI City Hall, Wednesday, December 22.

Anies hopes that the assistance provided can be managed properly by political parties, so that the benefits of the party can be felt by the community more.

“When we talk about value, of course, the need goes beyond that value. But this means that this is an obligation that comes from the APBD, comes from taxes for Jakarta residents, decided jointly by the executive and legislature, which is officially distributed to political parties. So this is held as a mandate for all of us,†he explained.

For information, this political party fund grant is contained in Article 25 paragraph (4) of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 36 of 2018 concerning Procedures for Calculation, Budgeting in Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budgets, and Orderly Administration of Submission, Distribution, and Accountability Reports for the Use of Political Party Financial Aid.

In the Permendagri, financial assistance is channeled to political parties through the official accounts of each political party. Then, it is necessary to submit proof of receipt accompanied by the signing of the minutes of the handover of the financial assistance by the chairman and treasurer of the political party at the provincial level together with the governor or the head of the National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol).
