Registration For Batch 5 Of Pre-employment Cards Closes On 23 August

JAKARTA - Registration for Batch 5 Pre-employment Card program is still open. For those who want to become participants, there is still an opportunity to register for this program made by the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

Head of Communications Implementation Management for Pre-Employment Cards, Louisa Tuhatu, said the management for the registration of the Pre-Employment Card program will still be open during the long holidays.

Louisa said that the extension of the batch 5 registration schedule was intended so that more people would be sent home, victims of layoffs (PHK) or micro and small business actors to join, especially from Eastern Indonesia.

"Registration for batch 5 will be closed on Sunday, August 23, at 12.00 WIB," he said, in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, August 19.

Until now, said Louisa, the number of applicants had approached 1.3 million people from all over Indonesia. Meanwhile, the opening of wave 6 will still be communicated.

According to Louisa, from the tracking survey of 240,000 Pre-Employment Card recipients, there are many Pre-employment Card recipients who have started their own business, are self-employed, by utilizing the training they took through the Pre-employment Card.

"Some have started coffee shops, cake making and graphic design businesses. This is in line with the high interest of Pre-Employment Card recipients in sales and marketing, F&B, and lifestyle categories," he explained.

Louisa said that the Pre-Work Card will support the national economic recovery as well as achieve the government's target of 4 percent of Indonesia's population to be self-employed by 2030.
