Completed 100 Percent, Fisherman Flats Affected By Land Execution In Mataram NTB Are Ready For Occupancy
MATARAM - The Mataram City Housing and Settlement Area Office, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province said the construction of simple rental flats (rusunawa) for fishermen in Bintaro, Ampenan District is now 100 percent complete and ready to be occupied.
The Head of the Mataram City Housing and Settlement Area (Disperkim) M Nazaruddin Fikri targets the flats with the physical form of the third floor to be ready for occupancy in early 2022.
"Now we are in the process of preparing for the handover and it is planned that there will be an inauguration by the Mayor of Mataram H Mohan Roliskana before it is occupied," he said in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, December 22.
According to him, the fishermen's flats have been equipped with furniture, including cabinets, chairs and beds, so that fishermen can move without bringing a lot of household furniture.
Rusunawa Bintaro is the first phase of construction with 44 type 36 rooms equipped with 2 bedrooms, one guest room, one kitchen and one bathroom.
"For the residents, we prioritize fishermen who occupy temporary shelters (huntaras)," he said.
He said the fishermen who were in the shelter were fishermen from Pondok Perasi who were affected by land executions, and there were around 80 families (KK).
Therefore, with the current capacity of the rusunawa of 44 rooms, the number of fishermen who can move to the rusunawa is also 44 families. The rest will occupy different flats that will be built at the same location.
To accommodate all fishermen in the shelters and fishermen who still occupy land owned by people, it is planned to build two more towers of rusunawa with the same capacity.
"We have proposed to the central government so that next year we can build additional Rusunawa," he said.
This is because the land for the construction of fishermen's flats has now been prepared for around 2.5 hectares for the construction of three towers of flats and land has been acquired for access to the main entrance with a budget of Rp. 2.5 billion.
"To get certainty regarding the continued construction of the fishermen's flats, in November I went directly to the Director General of Housing, but it is still in the process of being discussed and no decision has been made," he said.
The hope is that the central government can see the condition of the residents living in the temporary shelters due to the execution of the land and the residents who are still occupying land illegally in Pondok Perasi.
"If the fishermen have moved to the rusunawa, the shelters will be used as a storage area for fishing facilities and logistics for disaster preparedness. So the shelters will not be dismantled," he added.
