Preventing The Spread Of COVID-19, East Java Police Will Sweeping Vaccinations For Travelers
SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Police (Polda) will tighten supervision of health protocols (prokes) and sweep vaccinations in a number of places. This supervision is to anticipate the spread of COVID-19 during the Christmas-New Year holidays.
"There are several rules that must be obeyed by travelers, one of which is that long-distance travelers using all modes of transportation must show proof of complete vaccination, and the results of the rapid antigen test are a maximum of 1 × 24 hours before departure," said Dirlantas Polda Jatim, Kombes Latif Usman, Wednesday. , December 22.
Meanwhile for travelers aged 17 years who have not been vaccinated in full doses, their mobility is temporarily restricted. Meanwhile, for mobility within districts/cities, traffic management engineering will be carried out.
According to Latif, this provision is a condition stipulated in the Addendum to Circular Letter Number 24 of 2021 issued by the Covid-19 Task Force on December 11. This policy does not apply to regular travelers using land transportation modes in one agglomeration area, such as in Pacet, Mojokerto, which will apply odd-even.
"This odd-even application is also selective, if it is not possible to pass, we will apply restrictions. We will also close the tour if it is too crowded and full," he said.
This Christmas-New Year, Latif ensured that the police would not conduct isolation during the Nataru period. However, the police will apply random sampling for land travelers.
"Although there are no partitions, check points, or turn around. But we will do random sampling in rest areas, such as on toll roads and certain places, such as on arterial routes, and place service posts such as outside toll roads," he said. .
In addition, several crowded centers such as in the square are also closed on Christmas and New Years. Likewise on Jalan Tunjungan, Jalan Darmo, Kenjeran and the Suramadu Bridge.
"The Suramadu Bridge will be closed starting at 21.00 WIB on December 31 until January 1, 2022 at 05.00 WIB, only emergencies may pass," he said.
