DKI Disburses IDR 3 Trillion To Build Waste Management In South And East, DPRD: Must Have Quality!
JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has begun to build intermediate waste processing facilities (FPSA) in the southern and eastern areas of Jakarta with a budget of more than Rp. 3 trillion. This waste processing will reduce household waste and the like and is claimed to use environmentally friendly technology.

Meanwhile, the southern region includes Setiabudi, Kebayoran Baru, Mampang Prapatan, Makasar, Cilandak, Sunday Market, Rebo Market, Cipayung, Jagakarsa, and Ciracas.
The Head of Commission D for the Development of the DKI DPRD, Ida Mahcepat, warned that the DKI Provincial Government should build high quality FPSAs in these two areas. The work on the FPSA was carried out by the BUMD DKI Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya by collaborating with the company that won the auction.
"The FPSA in South and East Jakarta, which was assigned by the Governor to Sarana Jaya, already has a winner. I hope that the winner is not due to something, but indeed because the winner must have the qualities to become a partner of the DKI Regional Government," Ida told reporters, Wednesday. , December 22.
The certainty of the contractor's ability to be selected by the DKI Provincial Government to build this FPSA, said Ida, must be considered. This is because the DKI Provincial Government has invested more than IDR 3 trillion.
"First, he must own the land. Second, he must have the capital to build this, because this is not a small budget, more than IDR 3 trillion if I'm not mistaken," said Ida.
Ida does not want the mistakes in the waste management development plan several years ago to repeat itself. As is known, the construction of the Sunter ITF assigned to the BUMD PT Jakpro stalled because it did not receive funding.
"I hope that the development carried out by Sarana Jaya will not occur as Jakpro did. The waste processing that is being carried out by Jakpro turns out to be constrained due to financial factors, which are not currently in the partner selection process. We hope that next year the physical activity of the project will begin," said Bima on Saturday, October 16.
Bima views that the construction of these two FPSAs can solve Jakarta's waste problem. This is because the amount of waste produced by DKI Jakarta is quite large, reaching 7,800 tons per day.
Moreover, it is feared that the garbage collection capacity at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST) will be full in the next four years.
