Display Of Google Maps Which Is More Detailed And Colorful
JAKARTA - Over the last few years, Google has consistently increased the capabilities of its digital map service, Google Maps. Not only adding navigation features, this time Google provides a more detailed and colorful map view.
Launching from XDA Developers, for the past 15 years, Google has been trying to map the Earth's geographic state. At least 98 percent of the Earth's area has been mapped.
Now with a new algorithm, Google adds detailed colors to give a different impression of geographic shapes. This update will improve the visual experience of users who take advantage of digital map services.
"With the new color mapping algorithm, we can present a more detailed and accurate image of an area," wrote Google in a blog post, Wednesday, August 19.
Globally, Google provides color differences according to the shape and geographical conditions of a region. For example, lakes, rivers and oceans are marked in blue; beaches and deserts are brown; and forest areas, gardens, and other fertile areas are shown in green.
"You can get a lush and green picture of a place with vegetation, and even see if there is snow cover on the top of a mountain peak," explains Google.
Not only provides a more complete increase in map color details. Google also added other indicators to clarify digital map navigation in a more accurate scale.
Google digital maps will show symbols on roads, road sections, sidewalks where pedestrians, to traffic light intersections are more accurate. In the meantime, this update will only be available in London, New York and San Francisco in the coming weeks.
