CENTRAL SULAWESI - Detachment Gegana Central Sulawesi Police Mobile Brigade Police destroyed evidence of six lontong bombs belonging to the Poso terrorist group East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) Poso.
The destruction was carried out at Company Headquarters Battalion B of the Central Sulawesi Police Mobile Brigade, Poso Regency, Wednesday, December 22.
"The extermination is known to have high explosive power", said Deputy Chief of the Public Relations Task Force for Ops Madago Raya in Poso, AKBP Bronto Budiono when contacted in Poso.
Bronto said that the six lontong bombs that were disposed of were evidence confiscated by the 2014 Tinombala Task Force. He said the six lontong bombs were PVC pipe bombs with high explosive power.
A total of three homemade bombs from the bomb that detonated were the result of a gun battle between security forces and the Poso MIT group at Jumrian alias Tamar's cottage in Tamanjeka Village, Poso Pesisir District on September 19, 2014.
Furthermore, three other homemade bombs were evidence of a shootout from National Police Mobile Brigade personnel in the mountains of Impo, Padalembara Village, Poso Pesisir Selatan District, Poso Regency on October 30, 2014.
He explained that before the destruction of the evidence, the Gegana detachment team described it to identify and study the elements contained in the rice cake bomb.
