Mother's Day Momentum, Iriana Jokowi 'Fire' The Spirit Of Indonesian Women Not Only Konco Wingking
JAKARTA - First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo said Mother's Day was a good momentum to show that Indonesian women can do anything, not just wingking or being behind their husbands.
This was emphasized by Iriana in the video of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM) about Mother's Day which was broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 22.
"This is a good momentum to show that Indonesian women must be able, smart, not only as sidekicks, but can contribute to the country," said Iriana as quoted by Antara.
Iriana gave an example that nowadays many women have succeeded in appearing in front, for example a mother who is the head of a RT, a woman in politics, and even a woman who becomes president. According to him, Mother's Day is a very special day.
The wife of the Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Wury Ma'ruf Amin, said Mother's Day was a very special day because women were promoted.
"It's very special, Mrs. Iriana. Be happy, we are elevated with this Mother's Day. It is an honor," said Wury.
The OASE video for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet was guided by hosts Deddy Mahendra Desta and Hesti Purwadinata. The two presenters asked Iriana and Wury Ma'ruf Amin about Mother's Day and KIM OASE activities.
Hesti Purwadinata had asked Wury Ma'ruf Amin about the romanticism of the Vice President when he wished him a happy Mother's Day. The question was answered by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo that the Vice President is a romantic person to Mrs. Wury.
"Romantic, you," said Mrs. Iriana.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Wury conveyed that romance was like husband and wife.
In the video, the OASE KIM management, including the general chairman, secretary, and head of the field were also present. All of them explained about the KIM OASE which was filled by the wife of the minister in the cabinet. OASE KIM is an organization initiated by the First Lady.
