Calls Nketiah An Important Part Of Arsenal, Arteta Will Make Every Effort To Keep His Players

JAKARTA - The 2021/2020 League Cup quarter-finals pit Arsenal against Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium. In the match that took place on Wednesday morning, Arsenal won 5-1.

Arsenal's big victory in this match made them qualify for the semifinals. However, one thing that the Gunners cannot deny is that their victory this time could not be separated from the hat-trick contribution made by Eddie Nketiah plus goals from Nicholas Pepe and Partino.

The main star of Arsenal's success was clearly Nketiah who contributed three balls. For the player's slick nick, coach Mikel Arteta did not hesitate to appreciate and thank his players because they were able to advance to the semifinals.

"It was incredible. We are in the semi-finals. We started quite well, although we had periods when we suffered," said Arteta as quoted by Sky Sport.

"He (Eddie Nketiah) is a very important part of our squad because he did it (scored a hat-trick)," continued Arteta.

In addition to appreciation, Arteta is also trying hard to keep the player at the club. Especially with his slick achievements that are starting to show.

Arteta's hopes emerged because it was later discovered that Nketiah had limited playing time in the team. Not only that, his contract which will expire next summer has made Nketiah widely linked with the exit from the Emirates.

But Arteta says he and the club will do everything in their power to keep Nketiah at the Emirates.

"Eddie Nketiah wants more minutes, it's difficult to fight that, but as a club and me personally, I really want him to stay here, and that's what we're trying to do," said Arteta.
