KPK Explores Receipt Of Infrastructure-related Bribes From Heads Of Divisions At The Banjar City Government
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the flow of money allegedly from receiving bribes related to infrastructure work at the PUPR Office of Banjar City.
The investigation was carried out by examining four heads of fields, one of which was the former Head of the Banjar City Park and Cemetery, S. Heri Heryaman. The examination was conducted on Tuesday, December 21.
"Taking place at the KPK's Red and White Building, the investigative team has examined witnesses," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Wednesday, December 22.
Apart from examining Heri, Ali said that three other witnesses were being questioned. They are the former Head of the Office of Hygiene, Parks, Cemeteries and the Environment (DKPPLH), Supratman; former Head of Parks and Cemetery of Banjar City, Noorjanah AR; and former Head of the Environmental Division of Banjar City, Basir.
"The witnesses were present and their knowledge was studied, including the alleged flow of money received by parties related to this case from several project works at government services at the Banjar City Government," he said.
As previously reported, the anti-corruption commission is currently investigating allegations of bribery related to infrastructure development in Banjar City.
In an effort to investigate this bribery case, the KPK has collected evidence, both witness statements and conducted searches at a number of locations in Banjar City. One of the places that have been searched is the Banjar Mayor's hall.
In addition, the summons of witnesses has been carried out by investigators. However, until now the anti-corruption commission has not announced the perpetrators or the modus operandi of corruption.
