Minister Of Social Affairs: Assistance For Handling The Orphans Of COVID-19 Victims Continues

BANDA ACEH - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini stated that the assistance program for handling orphans, orphans, and orphans whose parents died due to COVID-19 continues to run well throughout the country.

“(Handling) goes on. Indeed, the process at the bank (banks) is a bit slow, but we will continue," Risma said during a working visit to Banda Aceh City, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 21.

According to Risma, the distribution of assistance for handling COVID-19 children continues to be carried out in the regions. The office of the Ministry of Social Affairs also continues to collect data, then informs the development of distribution to the Minister of Social Affairs.

“I also came here for orphans, victims of COVID-19. But if I don't submit it, it's still a further process. Here, our hall friends continue to collect data and then provide information,” said Risma.

Previously, Risma said that the assistance provided to orphans, orphans, and orphans was in the form of savings, while those who were not yet in school were given savings assistance of Rp. 300,000/month and those who were already in school were given savings assistance of Rp. 200,000/month. .

"So, this year we provide compensation for children who are victims of COVID-19. We also provide compensation for our brothers and sisters who really need it," said Risma.

Risma said that the aid plan next year is focused on all orphans, orphans, and orphans, while this year it is specifically for children who are victims of COVID-19.

Risma also continues to provide reinforcement and motivation to the beneficiaries, one of which is orphans, orphans, and orphans left by their parents due to COVID-19.

"Currently you are orphans, orphans, or orphans because you are the children chosen and most loved by Allah SWT. Therefore, you must not despair, do not need to be discouraged and humble yourself. Prove that you are trustworthy children," he said.
