Survey: Major Party Voters Want Ganjar Pranowo To Become A Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - The survey agency Charta Politika released the results of a survey in which one of the voters of a major party wanted Ganjar Pranowo to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.
Charta Politica Executive Director Yunarto Wijaya explained that the majority of PDI-P voters wanted Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate to reach 60 percent.
"It can be said that the majority or 60 percent of PDI-P voters said they chose Ganjar Pranowo," Yunarto said in a written statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 21.
Meanwhile, in the Golkar Party, Ganjar won 26.5 percent. Even though the party bearing the banyan tree symbol already has its own presidential candidate, the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartanto, who only got 4.4 percent.
"Some interesting findings are that Ganjar Pranowo competed with PKB voters who said they chose Anies Baswedan," said Yunarto.
Yunarto continued, in PKB Ganjar led the percentage gain of 31 percent. Followed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan with 26 percent and the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa with 13 percent.
"The Nasdem Party is still divided, because it is still two years old and has not been heated," he said
He said Ganjar won 32.7 percent of Nasdem voters. This number is superior to Anies Baswedan who earned 13.5 percent.
This survey was conducted on November 29 - December 6, 2021. The survey was conducted on 1,200 respondents spread throughout Indonesia.
The survey used multistage random sampling with a 95 percent confidence level. The survey has a margin of error of around 28.3 percent.
