NTB - The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) proposed a budget of Rp700 billion to the central government to fix the supporting infrastructure ahead of the 2022 MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok Regency.
"We have proposed the budget proposal to ministries and institutions. We will continue to consolidate it, but we don't know when it will be realized," said the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of NTB Province, HL Gita Ariadi in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, December 21.
The proposed budget will later be to build a number of road infrastructures in front of the Mandalika Circuit with the name of the 5.3 kilometer Kuta-Keruak segment. The budget is estimated at IDR 140 billion.
The road will be widened, such as the Lombok Airport-Mandalika Circuit bypass road, two lanes and four lanes with a width of 30 meters.
"Currently, the budget for repairing the front road of the Mandalika Circuit is only Rp. 16 billion through the 2022 Special Allocation Fund (DAK)," he said.
In addition to road widening infrastructure, the proposals submitted by the NTB Provincial Government to the central government include budget support for road safety facilities from bypasses from Mataram City to Mandalika.
Furthermore, environmental management, parks located on the BIL-Mandalika bypass road access including the Kuta-Sengkol road and others. Fourth, greening the hills around the Mandalika area. Including the development of MSMEs and tourism promotion.
However, the Regional Secretary said he was optimistic that even though the MotoGP was still three months away, the improvement and improvement of the supporting infrastructure for the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing would be completed.
