Breaking News Odd-Even Policy On 4 Toll Roads Ahead Of Christmas And New Year Canceled

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya stated that the policy of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) regarding odd-even on four toll roads ahead of the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year holidays will not be implemented. The reason is, until now there has been no decision to implement it.

"It doesn't happen, the cancellation is just a discourse that hasn't been decided yet," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono when confirmed, Tuesday, December 21.

However, Argo stated that the policy could be implemented towards the end of the year. Its application depends on the mobility of the community.

"But later we will see the situation, if it is really needed, it can be situational, for example before the new year there is an extraordinary increase in mobility, but later it will be technical," said Argo.

If the policy is decided to be implemented, the Ministry of Transportation will announce it. Because the authority is not in the Police.

"That (policy) will be announced by the Directorate General of Land Transportation," said Argo.

The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) plans to implement an odd-even system on four toll roads. This policy was implemented to prevent increased mobility during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

This scheme is planned to start on December 20, 2021 until January 2, 2022 on four toll roads. The four toll roads are Tangerang-Merak, Bogor-Ciawi-Cigombong, Cikampek-Palimanan-Kanci, and Cikampek-Padalarang-Cileunyi toll roads.
