Jammed Up To 1 Kilometer At Sesko AL Ciledug, Caused By Puddles Reaching 40 Centimeters

JAKARTA - The Jalan Ciledug Raya section, precisely at the Sesko AL intersection, South Jakarta, was again submerged by floods on Tuesday, December 21, noon.

The water level until 14.00 WIB still reached an average of 40 centimeters. Flood inundation on Jalan Ciledug Raya resulted in a long traffic jam around the location of up to 1 kilometer.

Congestion can be seen from Jalan Swadarma. Meanwhile, from the direction of Kebayoran Lama, the flow of traffic also seems to have stalled.

"When it rains, it really likes to flood here, but it usually recedes quickly. It seems that it has receded quite a bit," said a PPSU official at the location, Tuesday, December 21.

Motorcyclists and cars crossing Jalan Ciledug Raya seemed careful to break through the flood. This is because they are worried that their vehicle will break down when they pass.

They crossed the roadside to avoid the higher puddles.

Meanwhile, a number of South Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Resources (SDA) officers were at the location to handle the flood.
