Anticipating The Spike Of COVID-19 In The Christmas And New Year's Holidays, The Chairperson Of The MPR Reminds The Discipline Of The Implementation Of PeduliLindung

JAKARTA - The chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo asked the local government to finalize preparations to anticipate the surge in the number of visitors during the Christmas and New Year's 2022 holidays.

One of them, said Bambang, the Regional Government is obliged to instruct tourist attraction managers (DTW) to be disciplined in implementing the use of the PeduliLindung application to various operational requirements.

"To minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission during the Nataru holiday," said Bambang Soesatyo alias Bamsoet to reporters, Tuesday, December 21.

The former chairman of the DPR also reminded DTW managers with the COVID-19 Task Force to increase vigilance. "In addition to supervising and monitoring the implementation of health protocols at tourist attractions," said Bamsoet. In addition, the Department of Transportation together with the Satlantas Polri were also asked to be prepared to anticipate traffic jams. Because, said Bamsoet, there is a high potential for vehicle mobility to go to tourist attractions during the Christmas and New Year periods.

"So, we can prepare traffic engineering formulas such as one way engineering, contra flow, to make a number of alternative routes effective," said Bamsoet.

Bamsoet also appealed to the public not to be euphoric in welcoming the Christmas and New Year holidays while still increasing vigilance when outside the home.
