Medan Residents Complain It's Difficult To Find Food Due To Piles Of Drainage Excavated Land, Bobby Nasution: I'm Tired Of The Public Works Service

MEDAN - The video of a resident of Medan City, North Sumatra complaining about the presence of excavated drainage has gone viral on social media.

In the video uploaded by the @utakaunar account, initially it showed the inside of the shophouse which was used as a place of business. You can also see a portable beverage outlet in the video.

The video also shows piles of soil excavated from drainage.

In the video, the uploader said that the existence of the excavated soil made it difficult for him to get out. He also complained about his difficulty in finding food to make ends meet.

"Sir, we are looking for daily food, sir, let alone looking for food, it's hard to buy food out, sir," said the video uploader.

The video uploader said the condition had lasted for 4 days. He also mentioned the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, Deputy Mayor Aulia Rachman, Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi and Deputy Governor, Musa Rajeckshah to see his condition.

"For 4 days, I can't open a shop, sir, look down here, sir," he said.

The account owner, Handalan Putra Kaunar, when confirmed, said that the pile of soil from the drainage excavation was in the Simalingkar area, Medan City.

Separately, the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution said when he was met that he had repeatedly asked the Public Works Service to immediately transport the excavated soil after it was scraped.

"I'm tired of telling the PU (Department) of this. As soon as it was scraped it was immediately removed, later today I asked to clean it up," Bobby said, Monday, December 20.

"In Simalingkar," said the account owner in response to VOI, Monday, December 20.

Bobby Nasution revealed that he often reprimanded the Public Works Department. This is because there is dredging work carried out by the Public Works Department when it rains.

"Yesterday it rained for how many days in a row. That if it was scraped back in again. There was also work yesterday, I saw it was raining again and it was drizzling instead. This is a warning for me to them," he said.
