PeduliLindungi Usage Data Will Be Opened, Minister Of Health: Public Can See Which Locations Are Disciplined And Which Are Not
JAKARTA - The government continues to try to tighten health protocols amidst the onslaught of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 which is now starting to enter the country. One of them is by intensifying the use of the PeduliLindungi application as a health screening tool.
"To prepare for the arrival of Omicron, we have strengthened our health protocols, especially the application of the PeduliLindungi application", Budi said in a press conference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, December 20.
Later, the use of this application will also be opened to provide information to the public which locations comply with health protocols or not. Including shopping centers and malls.
"We have spoken with the Coordinating Minister, then we will report to the President, the data on the use of the PeduliLindungi application will be opened", said the former Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.
"So that the public can see locations that are undisciplined using (the PeduliLindungi application, ed). Which malls are active, so that they are safe, if they are exposed, they can be quickly quarantined and which malls do not apply, so the risk is big", added the Minister of Health.

In addition, the government also urges the public to immediately receive the COVID-19 vaccine without the need to be picky about the type. This is conveyed because currently the types that are widely available are Pfizer and AstraZeneca.
"You don't have to choose what type of vaccine, just get vaccinated right away", concluded the Minister of Health.
