The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Tangerang City Metro Police and Kodim 0506/TGR. Until December 18, 2021, the achievement of the first dose of vaccination was 1,408,481 people or 95.2 percent. While the second dose has reached 1,064,688 people or 72 percent.

Tangerang Mayor Arief R. Wismansyah encouraged schools to be more massive in outreach to students and parents to vaccinate ahead of school holidays starting December 20, 2021.

"During one week of child vaccination, no AEFI has been found. The school makes sure that the children are vaccinated according to the schedule," said Arief in a separate location.

Vaccination socialization must also be carried out to the public, including the elderly, in order to get a complete vaccine, because they are vulnerable to contracting COVID-19.

"If indeed there are those who cannot get the vaccine, then inform them to reduce mobility. Because this is the joint duty and responsibility of all 'stakeholders' (stakeholders) in Tangerang City," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Tangerang City Education Office, Jamaluddin, added that although student teaching and learning activities at schools were closed, COVID-19 vaccination activities continued according to the set schedule.

The Education Office has made a vaccination schedule for students with the hope that the role of parents in accompanying their children when participating in vaccinations is to fulfill this immune building program.

"There are no obstacles for vaccination because it has been scheduled and students can come to school to take part. Parents are expected to accompany them," he said
