Bamsoet Wants Lamborghini Driver Cowboy Action To Be Punished Firmly
JAKARTA - The chairman of the MPR, Bambang Soesatyo, strongly criticized the arrogant action of a Lamborghini driver named Abdul Malik who fired firearms at two students in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, some time ago. Abdul Malik's cowboy action is clearly against the law and must be processed firmly.
According to Bamsoet, this action could not be justified. Moreover, firing a shot just because he felt offended. He said that the misuse of firearms like this should not be tolerated.
The former chairman of Commission III DPR RI asked the police to thoroughly investigate and take firm action against the perpetrators. Moreover, cowboy action on the streets using firearms did not only happen this time. There must be a deterrent effect.

Bamsoet asked the police to revoke Abdul Malik's firearms license. As is known, the perpetrator is registered as a member of the Indonesian Shooters Association (Perbakin) and has a firearm ownership license for self-defense since June 2019.
"It is true that the perpetrator has a firearm ownership license for self-defense. But the shooting action carried out by the perpetrator is clearly not for self-defense. The National Police must revoke the firearms ownership permit," he explained, who is also the General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Self Defense Firearms Owners (IKHSA). PERIKSHA).
The PB Perbakin Advisory Board said that Perbakin will impose strict sanctions on Abdul Malik. Moreover, Perbakin has strict regulations regarding the use of firearms. Perbakin members may only use firearms during training.
"These firearms can come out with a special transport permit if there is a need for training, competition or hunting. After that the weapons are stored in the warehouse. Except for the members of the Perbakin who already have a special firearms permit (IKHSA) caliber 32 or 22 for self-defense from Headquarters. The Police, may take the firearms home, "he said.
According to Bamsoet, Perbakin members are also provided with membership identities with certain qualifications. For example, in the Perbakin card you will see codes in the upper right corner such as 'TS' or shoot the target, which means that you have become proficient at shooting at fixed targets.
"Then, there is the code 'TR' which stands for reaction shooting. The card is given to members who have passed the upgrading and passed shooting practice while moving (reaction) and with moving targets," he explained.
Then, there is also the code 'B' which means hunting permit. This card is given to Perbakin members who are proficient in TS and in TR and have passed the training and practice of shooting with rifles with a minimum distance of 200 meters and at least 90 percent of the target in the circle.
"It is not easy and not arbitrary to obtain a sporting permit for shooting or hunting from Perbakin. Therefore, if there are Perbakin members who are arrogant and pretentious, immediately report them. In Perbakin rules it is clear, pointing a weapon, especially pointing at someone, is a serious offense and can be punished. , "he said.
