Police Arrest Ojol Stabbing Suspect, Perpetrators Drunk And Triggered To Look At Each Other
JAKARTA - Police arrested the suspect in the stabbing case of a Gojek driver, Irwan Abdullah, who was found dead in front of the OYO hotel, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. From the results of the examination, the suspect was desperate to do the action because he was drunk.
"Arrested the suspect in the murder, suspect FS (42), said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, December 20.
The arrest of the suspect occurred on December 18. The suspect was arrested after the police pocketed evidence in the form of CCTV footage.
"So we reveal on December 18. So in 10 days we will reveal (the stabbing case)," he said.
From the examination process, it was revealed that the stabbing began when the suspect and his partner were driving around the location in a drunken state.
The victim, who was also riding a motorbike, tried to pass the suspect's vehicle. But he couldn't because the suspect's vehicle was blocking him.
"Due to the influence of drinking and the emotion of staring at each other, the suspect immediately stabbed a knife into the victim's chest, causing the victim to fall," said Zulpan.
After that, the suspect immediately fled. Meanwhile, the victim who was lying covered in blood was immediately helped by local residents.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta by using a bajaj. However, the victim's life could not be saved.
"The victim died on the way to the hospital," Zulpan said.
With the arrest of the suspect, he is subject to Article 338 and/or Article 351 of the Criminal Code. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.
