4 Days Fleeing With SS-2 V1 Assault Rifle, Yotam Yotam Infantry Battalion Personnel Called Someone

PAPUA - Head of Information for Kodam (Kapendam) XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Inf. Aqsha Erlangga said Company C Battalion 756/WMS Prada (Prajurit Two) personnel, Yotam Bugiangge, had called someone before fleeing with an SS-2 V1 assault rifle from his unit.

As of now, Prada Yotam fled from Battalion 756/WMS for four days starting on Friday, December 17, 2021, at around 17.00 WIT. Kapendam said that Prada Yotam's escape from the unit began when he was about to carry out guard duties with other colleagues.

"While preparing for guard duty, suddenly Prada Yotam Bugiangge walked towards the back of the guard station while calling someone. Then before the handover process it turned out that Prada Yotam was not present, so his colleagues searched," explained Kapendam as quoted by Antara, Monday, 20 December.

The search for Prada Yotam, according to Kapendam, started from inside the dormitory to its surroundings and only found clothes and shoes worn in the bushes behind the hostel.

Then, said Kapendam, the search was continued by contacting Prada Yotam's relatives and family.

"Coordination has been carried out with regional units and the TNI Task Force to conduct searches around the area where the person concerned is suspected of fleeing from the Unit C Infantry Battalion 756/WMS," he said.

In the search, photos of Prada Yotam Bugiangge were also distributed to facilitate the search process. But so far it has not been found. He hopes that Prada Yotam can return to the unit soon to return to duty.

"I ask for the prayers of the entire community so that Prada Yotam can be found soon and if there is information about the person concerned, he can report it to the nearest TNI unit," said Kapendam.

It is known that Prada Yotam Bugiangge is a native Papuan son who was born on May 24, 1999 in Gunia, Nduga Tribe, Papua, Nduga Regency, Papua Province.
