Bank Mandiri Syndicated Loan 2021 Reaches Rp60 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. reported that as of November 2021 the total syndicated loans involving Bank Mandiri had reached Rp157.01 trillion.
Bank Mandiri SVP Corporate Solution Group Erwanza Nirwan said that of this amount, the company received a syndicated financing portion of IDR 60.48 trillion.
"Looking at the gradually improving economic conditions, we are optimistic that the demand for syndicated loans will continue to increase," he said in an official statement quoted on Monday, December 20.
According to Erwanza, this assumption is based on the improving business climate in line with efforts to accelerate the national economic recovery.
"Besides that, Bank Mandiri as one of the banks with the largest corporate credit market share views that the demand for syndicated loans is still wide open," he said.
Furthermore, Erwanza said that the company continues to strengthen its existence as a trusted financial institution in supporting the business sector in Indonesia to obtain financing.
“Based on this optimism, we estimate that in the future the demand trend for syndication in the next 2022 period will show an increasing trend. Especially in the leading sectors.
For information, until the close of the third quarter of 2021, this state-owned bank has been recorded to have disbursed consolidated loans of Rp.1,021.6 trillion, or grew 16.93 percent compared to the same period the previous year (year-on-year/yoy).
The steady performance of this banking intermediation helped boost BMRI's net profit to Rp19.23 trillion, or an increase of 37.1 percent yoy.
This positive result was supported by the company's ability to maintain the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) at the level of 2.96 percent on a gross basis with an allowance for impairment losses (CKPN) of Rp. 16.4 trillion.
