Former Technical Director Of Garuda Hadinoto Soedigno Passes Away
JAKARTA - Former Director of Engineering and Fleet Management of PT Garuda Indonesia for the period 2007-2012, Hadinoto Soedigno has died. Hadinoto is a defendant in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of aircraft and aircraft engines at PT Garuda Indonesia.
The sad news was confirmed by the acting (Plt) spokesperson for the KPK prosecution, Ali Fikri. According to him, based on information received, Hadinoto died this afternoon at around 14:00 WIB.
"The information we have obtained is correct. He died at around 14.00 WIB, due to illness," he told reporters, Sunday, December 19.
According to Ali, Hadinoto did get permission to leave the detention house or detention center to undergo treatment at the Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Menteng, Central Jakarta. His detention was extended automatically due to illness.
"Previously the deceased some time ago, was brought to a hospital to get medical treatment as recommended by the Corruption Eradication Commission's Doctor of Detention Center," he said.
Ali said the KPK had handed over Hadinoto's body to the family. Hadinoto's funeral was handed over to his family.
"Currently the body has been handed over by representatives of the Prosecutor Team together with the KPK Detention Center to the family of the deceased," he said.
For information, former Technical Director of PT Garuda Indonesia for the period 2007-2012, Hadinoto Soedigno was sentenced to 8 years in prison with objects of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to 3 months in prison.
Not only that, Hadinoto was also required to pay compensation in the amount of 2.3 million US dollars and 477,540 euros.
The panel of judges assessed that Handinoto was legally proven to have committed criminal acts of corruption and money laundering related to Airbus A330 and A320 aircraft, ATR 72 Serie 600, CRJ 1000 NG, and Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines.
