COVID-19 Update As Of December 18: 232 New Positive Cases Found
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. Of the 312,019 specimens examined, 232 new positive cases of COVID-19 were found.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,260,380 people and active cases are 4,918," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, December 18.
Today's recovered cases increased by 214 cases, bringing the total to 4,111,464 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 12 people and a total of 143,998 people.
The province with the most new cases was in Jakarta with 74 cases and a total of 864,601 cases. Followed by West Java with 40 new cases with a total of 708,577 cases.
Furthermore, East Java Province with 20 new cases and a total of 399,864 cases. Also, Central Java and West Papua, each with 17 positive cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today is West Java with an additional 37 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 35 cases recovered.
Furthermore, DKI Jakarta itself recorded the addition of 32 recovered cases. Thus, the total number of recovered cases is 850,720 cases.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health also noted that the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 59,964,823.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,703 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 151,246,296 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 106,636,173 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,268,675. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
